Life Coach: Pamela Keuter M.S., L.L.C.

Maybe THERAPY is Not What You Need!

“Straight Talk Life-Coaching” is not traditional therapy. There is no delving into one’s childhood to reveal deep-seeded experiences. There are no contracts or insurance forms or past mental health inquires. All client personal information is submitted voluntary.

“Straight Talk Life-Coaching” is a coaching service designed to be extremely simple, powerful, and surprisingly affordable.  Coaching provides the individual with support and clear vision for the life choices the individual has made or is making. “Straight Talk” is just that…Straight Talk! There is no sugar coating involved in the coaching process. Just straight, direct connection with strong support for self- esteem enhancement.

“Straight Talk Life-Coaching” aides the client in viewing his or her options and choices while weaving through real life situations.

Life-Coaching is powerful, supportive, and appropriate. Coaching is focused and client centered, as well as client driven.

Individual and group sessions are available.

"At-Risk Youth?  Troubled Teen?

That wonderful happy go-lucky child of yours has now morphed into someone you have never met before. Who is this kid?” you continue to ask yourself.

He/she won’t talk to you. Your kid avoids you, hides in their room, does not join the family…skips school...says he/she doesn’t care! ...and has adopted an entire new persona. Nothing you have tried has worked; you know you need someone to help! “Does my child need therapy?”

MAYBE THERAPY IS NOT WHAT HE/SHE NEEDS

That is where we come in. Life Coaching with Equine Assisted Learning is incredibly powerful…and is your answer! Kids need a cheerleader that is just for them, an outsider, someone other than Mom or Dad. They need to find success, in their own way and with their own real personality!

Just knowing that Mom & Dad have not put him/her into therapy is therapeutic in itself. Teens respond positively to “Life Coaches.” They love knowing their parents have hired a positive, caring, cheerleader who puts them first, not their school teacher first, not their principal, not their parents. This is powerful for youth, knowing that their parents see them as whole - as opposed to a broken down human being who needs mental health therapy!

Examples of Some Coaching Topics for Teenagers:

·         There is a divorce in the way of my life.

·         I hate school…I mean I hate it!

·         Odd student out…I just don’t fit in!

·         I hate me. They hate me.

·         I will not do homework…I refuse!

·         I can’t get out of this situation.

·         Mean girls are ruining my life.

·         I’m so angry I will not talk to you.

·         I lie because you won’t stay out of my life!

·         I lie because you keep judging me…so I tell you what you want to hear…that way I stay perfect in your eyes!

·         Drugs or alcohol  are messing up my life.

Equine Assisted Learning

Interacting with a horse is a fantastic metaphor for how you interact with others and with life itself. Their sensitivity to non-verbal stimulus gives them an amazing ability to read people and reflect these emotional states, offering observable and physical feedback. They offer unconditional and pure reactions to your emotions. Horses very accurately sense a person's level of trust, confidence, awareness, and interpersonal skills. The way clients interact and react with a horse is very similar to the way they interact and react to their peers, colleagues, customers, work groups and their own families! Horses mirror back our emotions -- they don't lie and can't over-think your real emotions, so they recognize incongruence between behavior and emotion, telling the true story.

No riding or horse experience is necessary. EAL is not a "riding activity." Equine Assisted Learning is an experiential, non-judgmental learning activity that leads to a remarkable self-awareness and insight into how we communicate, solve problems, handle situations, achieve goals, develop relationships, live our life, deal with boundaries, and how we are inspired to change.

Our experience has been that insights and results are gained in considerably less time than traditional office therapy. Very quickly, patterns of learned behavior are revealed that either enhance or hinder your ability to be effective, happy, and authentic.

You have just been told you have cancer. You can’t breathe. You don’t know what to do. You freeze. You cannot move. You don’t know what to ask. You are so very scared. You don’t want to die.

Cancer is a very serious concern.

I can help you understand this.

I am a two-time cancer survivor. I am living with cancer…happily, healthy, and carefree.

This is my choice!

And it can be yours too!
